Hello, Beauties!

This is the blog for Vanity Cosmetics, a salon in Sherman Oaks, CA that specializes in eyebrow beautification and makeup application.

On behalf of Vanity, I'm your faithful blogger, Nicole.  I've been a part of the Vanity team since they first opened in 2003, first working in the salon with my friend & salon owner, Christine Turner.  Since then, I've left the salon, but I still work with Christine & Vanity Cosmetics on all their social networking - I'm the voice behind their Facebooking, Pinning, and Tweeting.  I continue to work with Vanity & Christine because we share the same views - feeling beautiful should be attainable for everyone, and there's a whole lot of fun in using makeup to achieve that goal.

Personally, I've been (probably too) obsessed with makeup since early youth.  I was the one who did friends' makeup for dates, school dances, family pictures, and everything in between. At an age when most kids didn't know what shapely eyebrows were, I was helping my own family members tweeze theirs (something, in retrospect, that was probably a seriously bad idea for a 10-year-old).  But above all, I love writing and writing about beauty & makeup.  My dream of being a beauty magazine writer got tailored a bit when I went to college to major in English, but I continued to hone my writing while simultaneously working in beauty salons at night & on weekends.  This is where I met Christine, and I'm continually thankful she lets me shape the voice of Vanity Cosmetics.
